It's offical...we will be doing a 5km run!

Well since my goals or being a runner...well fell short, I have made the goal again! Peter and I just signed up to run the Mother's Day 5km race!! Now I have no choice but to start running! We will start running when we get back from our Disney vacation. I would like to say I could sign up for the 10km but I would hate to be disappointed on mother's day. Not only will we be running as a family but we will also be part of the Made by Momma team! It's a wonderful organization ran by a great friend...everyone should check it out www.madebymomma.org

BIKES

Charlie has a new love for bikes!!! Last week after ballet there was a bike sitting outside of the church, she was sure it was hers (she does not have a bike). She was kicking, screaming and yelling at me for leaving her bike behind. Yesterday Charlie and I were out on a walk around the block and she spotted 2 bikes!! We passed them and she didn't notice as we were heading to the park and talking about how much fun we were going to have. The walk home was a whole other story!! She spotted the bikes and quickly ran over and jumped on the smaller one!!! I told her no, she ignored me and laughed (perhaps it was because I was taking a picture), when I said no again and picked her up the water works started! They lasted for a good 40 mins, she telled, screamed, kicked our front door. I think it may be a long spring and summer if we don't get a bike!!


On another note...4 more sleeps until Disneyland!!!! We are SO excited for our little trip full of fun!

Disneyland count down...

The count down to Disneyland is on...13 days! Why have you not heard about this count down until now? Well tonight we were looking at Westjet's website and there flashing before our eyes was a FANTASTIC seat sale! Peter just so happened to have booked a week off of work so we booked! Disneyland is one of my most favorite places on earth so I am so excited!! Charlie is going to have SO much fun, as of right now her favorite Disney characters are Minnie Mouse and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast. So she is going to be so excited to see them in person!!!! We need to book our hotel and buy passes still...so that will be on the agenda tomorrow!!! Friday we are going to have a family shopping day to the Disney store to buy some princess dresses before hand!! We are a happy happy house tonight!!! YAY!!!

2 and LOVING it!

Yesterday was Charlie's 2nd birthday!!! What a fantastic day...

Friday afternoon I started baking, cupcakes and a cake! 6 and a half hours later they were all done!! Yesterday morning I wanted to show Charlie her birthday cake before I headed to work, what she saw it she said 'wow, is that cake for Charlie?' I told her yes and she said 'it's so beautiful'. When she said that I knew all my hard work was so worth it!!! Friday night I said I would never do it again and I'm sure next year I will try to do a bigger and better cake!!

Yesterday we had the friend birthday party! We had so much fun and thank everyone for coming and making Charlie feel so special. Thank you for all of the wonderful gifts as well, Charlie loves everything!! The little lady was SPOILED!! Charlie was so cute opening her gifts, when she saw what she was unwrapping or taking out of gift bags she would say 'oh my goodness!' and she was so good to thank everyone! We are so happy she is such a polite little lady. She loved everyone singing Happy Birthday and enjoyed her cupcake!!

Today we have my family over for a party and then the birthday weekend will be over!! I will need to start thinking about party ideas for next year!! Thanks again to everyone for treating my little princess like a princess!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLIE!!!

2 year check up

Today Charlie had her two year check up. Last night and this morning we talked all about what the doctor was going to do. She seemed excited to get there...well was I wrong! She went running into the doctor's office all smiles and laughing. When asked to go on the scale she said 'no thanks' and tried to walk out of the office. We got her back on to the scale, she was 21 lbs on the dot!!! We were then told that she needed to strip down into her diaper, she told me 'no mommy' and cried about taking her tights and dress off, but she said she had to keep her sun glasses on!!! So there we were sitting and waiting for the doctor in her diaper and sun glasses. Charlie was very unsure of our doctor, she did show her all of her body parts, eyes, ears, mouth, belly button, our doctor asked her where her heart was, we have not gone over that one before!!! So as our doctor was pointing to where Charlie's heart is Charlie said 'my boobies, private'. Oh my! We have taught her that they are private, how do you explain to a two year old that the doctor can listen to her heart beat there? She tried to push her out of the way, but decided to calm down when she found out she was going to get a sticker!!! After our appointment she said good bye to our doctor and said it was time to go home for a nap! I love that Charlie is asking for naps these days!!! Happy to have the check up done but it also means we are one day closer to the birthday and I don't feel as organized as I would like for the party! 3 more sleeps and the little lady will be 2!!!

POOP!

Oh my...I have heard stories about kids and poop, taking off their diapers and just plain messy-ness. We have never experienced anything of the sort until tonight. UGH. Miss Charlie had her bath tonight and then we went into her room to get ready for bed. She was being silly, wrapping herself up in her towel and pretending to sleep, when all of a sudden she stood up and started laughing and pointing. I looked at the floor and there sitting on the floor was poop. YUCK! I told her that she should be going in the potty as she is a big girl, she told me 'no I poop on the floor'...I sure hope this is NOT the start of a new side of her.
